Consulting

Geomagic provides consulting services that include needs assessment, scanning, processing services and workflow definition; for example, Geomagic Services offers expert turnkey first article inspection and can produce expert surface models from existing parts for clients.

To assess an organization’s needs, Geomagic surveys the current environment, resources, workflow and data. Project goals and objectives are determined, followed by industry-specific recommendations on the most effective plan for the project.

Scanning is a fundamental component in any Geomagic Services project. Generally any manufactured, as-built or existing part can be scanned and modeled. The Geomagic Services team performs project-based scanning with high precision white-light and line scanners at our headquarters in Research Triangle Park, NC (USA), or at other locations.

Geomagic also partners with measurement system resellers to offer a wide range of data capture services. Based on the requirements for each project, Geomagic delivers 3D digital data appropriate to achieve project objectives and in a format suitable for specific design, analysis or manufacturing needs.

Perhaps the most critical component of a project is workflow definition. Geomagic Services reduces the risk of poorly defined workflow, and processes a client’s project data directly using proven, successful workflows. If needed, Geomagic Services can develop a workflow providing custom output to meet specifications; for instance, output may be a surface model from Geomagic Studio or a complete inspection report from Geomagic Qualify.
